Īnother aspect worthy of note is that Prydain itself is explored in more detail than in the previous books. There’s plenty of room for humor, wonder and hope, usually obtained in the presence of Taran’s beloved companions: faithful Gurgi, the wandering bard Fflewdur Fflam, the grouchy dwarf Doli and the mischievous talking-crow Kaw.
